The Ruckers Single Harpsichord Kit

from

designed by by Marc Ducornet and Emmanuel Danset

The Paris Workshop French Single Harpsichord

"Flemish Singles have been the most popular harpsichord in modern times. Many advantages include ease of transportation and stability of tuning. The transposing keyboard permits performance with either baroque or modern instruments.

The harpsichords built by the Ruckers family were famous throughout Europe in the 16th through the 18th centuries. Their clear and precise sound was as much admired then as now. The Flemish Single's range of 56 notes covers all of Bach's works, and its clarity of tone suits his contrapuntal style." -- Marc Ducornet
